BIOGRAPHY

Pat Boguslawski is a Paris-based photographer and movement director whose work has helped redefine how models walk, pose and inhabit character on the runway and in campaigns. Drawing on a background in dance, acting and modelling, he brings technical precision and emotional depth to the way people move before the camera and on the runway.

His artistic foundation was laid in Poland, where classical ballet gave him a deep understanding of discipline, line and physical expression. He went on to broaden his vocabulary through contemporary dance, acting and modelling, developing an approach that brings together structure, instinct and a keen sensitivity to character.

Since 2018, Boguslawski has collaborated with John Galliano at Maison Margiela, shaping the movement and performances of the house’s runway shows. From Leon Dame’s now-iconic walk to the characters of the Spring/Summer 2024 Artisanal show, his work has helped create some of fashion’s most memorable runway moments. He has also worked with leading houses including Gucci, Tom Ford and Versace, and directed movement for figures including Rihanna, Nicole Kidman, Ariana Grande, Tilda Swinton, Victoria Beckham and Harry Styles. In 2024, he became the first and only movement director to be named to the BoF 500.

In 2025, Boguslawski expanded his practice to photography, bringing his understanding of movement, presence and character behind the camera. His photographic debut, a Vogue Japan beauty story featuring Natalia Vodianova, marked a natural extension of a practice shaped by years spent both in front of and behind the lens.
